Alright, holy shiz. I just finished installing my softmod, and ill i can say is WOW. I decided to not get the mod chip and try the softmod first, and so far I see no reason to by a mod chip. MANY thanks on the great guide and installer.

yer i agree, only get a modchip if you want to switch your mod on and off easily with xbox live, although you can turn the softmod off your XBL anywayz, so i don't see any point in mod chips

You would if you wanted to use XBOX LIVE all the time.
A modchip switch is much easier then rolling back the softmod all the time.
But hey.. Softmods are cheap.. Free just about after you got your own memory card..

Hmm, i have a 160 gig hard-drive and i only have around 120gigs in the F drive. Should it be higher then that or does it come down that low when its formatted. Is there any tips on making a "switch" that i could turn on and off to switch between my untouched stock harddrive and the one i upgraded too?

hi doomman,

More then likely if you format your NEW XBOX HDD again g:\ partition it should show up..

Also, make sure you have a BIOS on your modchip that supports a larger hdd.. Smile The EvOX M8 bios is fine.

l8r and hope that helps

cheers,

FH

if your not using a modchip then it depends on which softmod you are using i believe.. But im no softmod expert when it comes to upgraded hdd's.

try formatting just the g:\ partition and hopefully it should start working for you.

cheers,

FH

Thanks. Im finding new things everyday. In Unleash X I just enabled G Drive, then went to the file explore and when i went to the mini-menu i had the option to format G. Now i have 23 more gigs of space!
