I use and love UnleashX as my primary dashboard but i have a question...
In the settings for the Live update, everytime i click on the update now button i ALWAYS get an error saying "Unable to connect. HTTP Status 11002"
Can anyone tell me what the hell is going wrong. And also i don't know the server address to put it in manually. Can anyone figure this out for me???

Thanks

so are you sharing internet to your xbox via a pc or router??
You need to give your xbox IP and DNS settings in the same range as your pc/router..

thats about it.. Once your xbox has internet access it can download the updates itself from the net.

btw.. Its not a good idea to use AUTOUPDATE if you have a softmod.. Modchip is always fine coz you can recover from any errors the script may give.

anyway, hope that helps

I did exactly what you said. I gave the xbox the same ip and dns address as teh router and when i try to do the update on the dashboard it starts to connect but never gets a connection and gives me the same error" unable to connect. HTTP status 11002" so i am a little closer but still no cigar. Any other ideas what i can do??

hi mate.. do this for me.

1. Click Start Menu an click run
2. Type 'cmd' and press enter
3. type 'ipconfig /all' and press enter
4. copy and paste all your ip information into this post and i will sort out for you.

Example:
If you router is:
ip: 192.168.0.100
sub: 255.255.255.0

Then give your xbox a ip of:
ip; 192.168.0.1
sub: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.0.100

DNS: same as router DNS

ok, here is what i got when i typed "ipconfig/all" in the command prompt:

Windows IP Configuration

Host name.....................................:Predator
Primary DNS Suffix........................:
Node type......................................:Unknown
IP Routing enabled.........................:No
WINS Proxy Enabled......................:No

Ethernet adapter local area connection:

Connection-specific DNS suffix........:hsdi.pa.comcast.net
Description....................................:RealtekRTL8139 FamilyPCI fast ethernet NIC8
Physical address............................:00-30-1b-27-80-c1
DHCP............................................:Yes
Autoconfiguration enabled...............:Yes
IP Address.....................................:192.168.1.100
Subnet mask..................................:255.255.255.0
Default gateway.............................:192.168.1.1
DHCP server..................................:192.168.1.1
DNS servers...................................:68.87.64.196
68.87.66.196

ok..
give your xbox this info and then turn off all PC firewalls.

IP..................................................: 192.168.1.10
Subnet mask..................................:255.255.255.0
Default gateway.............................:192.168.1.1
DNS servers...................................:68.87.64.196

done.. You should then be able to ftp into your xbox using the '192.168.1.10' ip address... Make sure you always choose save and reboot your xbox for the settings to take effect.

easy.

Now here's a thing... I booted into the Xenium dashboard instead of right into the UnleashX dash, and it still won't work even after me doing all the setting ahcnges, so i don't think the problem is on the xbox. Don't know if that might help.

BTW thanks to everyone so far who's helped in this problem, i really appreciate it. Xbox-hq is BY FAR the best Xbox site around.

if you are connected to a router i would set your xbox to dhcp ,

then check your dhcp table on your router so you can see what ip the xbox gets .

when you know the ip set it on DMZ zone so all ports to the xbox are open.

try connecting now

Predtech, you wouldn't possibly be using a linksys router would ya? If so, I MIGHT have an idea for you to try.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT!!!!!! try to set the dashboard to auto update if you are using a softmod. You will mess everything up and it will only end up in tears. If you had a modchip it would be ok, but with a softmmod you CAN'T do it.
