i am a newbie to this modding scene and i was wondering if anyone knew how to mod the xbox without a chip(flash the bios?)...

Well, there are different types of mods. There are case mods where you dress up your box. You can also just add a bigger hard drive, so that is a type of mod too.
Anything you do to change your box from factory can be considered a modification.

If you are referring changing the dashboard and such the only mod without a chip is loading Linux into your Xbox. I pretty sure this can only be done on the older xbox's. The newer versions are having kernal problems and such. If you want to copy games, play emulators, play media you will most definetely need to chip your box. _________________ Halo SE Xbox

i saw a thing on tech tv about the chipless xbox mod you need a phantasy star online converter (call microsoft and ask for one) a copy of mech assualt one a usb storage drive and the linux thing there is a sight that the dude on tech tv had that has links for all the stuff you need i am trying to find it right now but oh well good hunting
