ive recently found out SID 3.0 has a option to turn the tray open menu off and was wondering if theres anyway to do that with 2.0 i was thinking of getting 3.0 but it doesnt have it all like 2.0 does and its not broke so i dont wanna fix it lol is there anyway to make it so it wont show that cause my bro may hit the backup options >.< and if so i plan to use mechassault exploit to boot the menu when i need it if i can?

OK once SID is installed, you need to FTP into your XBox and go to your C Drive. You'll find a folder called SID there.
In there, there is a boot.cfg file that you'll need to edit.
You'll come across this line:

AltRomfile open.bin
Delete this line, this will only allow the closed option (disable the tray open menu in other words).

so just find that file and delete it or is there more than that to it?and to reboot that menu just use the saved mechassault game? btw how do i edit it

If you use FlashFXP for you FTP client you could use that. Right-click on the file you want to edit, and select edit.

if i delete this will i still be able to boot this menu back up but from the save mech game? and if i backup the orginal boot.cfg can i use that to put the tray open menu back by deleted the edited one and replace it with my backup? sorry for all the questions but i like to take stuff carefully and not rush threw it and get a error screen lol

i did it but i had auto load game on and couldnt boot the save exploit without it exiting lol so i fxped and put it back and turned the settings off and now it right i just hope it doesnt mess up sence flash fxp is only free for 30 days >.< will there be a way to edit the cfg file if i need to restore
