He told me to gain access to the Softmod menu and get to the file explorer. Then he snapped because I got angry. He also said not to waste my time on the forums. He said he shouldn't have helped me because of what I said.
Oh well. Thanks guys for the help.
Heh, you were just being honest. Really you should've tried not to get angry but then again him snapping doesn't help. I mean, sometimes I don't really feel like helping out a lot, but the last thing I'll do is be nasty or snap at a member.

Well think of it like this. Most people who come here are looking for people they will trust with their machines. When someone helps them but tells them something that is bad for the system it kills the trust and that will naturally cause aggression.
Is it possible to FTP on the softmod menu and can I FTP MSDash? It appears the MSDash was COMPLETELY deleted from my X drive so that would be a big help. I have an idea for another way around, but it will be quite alot of work.
Thanks DJB for the assistance with your own project. It shows you actually want it to succeed.

Unless you can access the softmod menu you won't be able to use FTP. If you can still boot an original game you can load your game with SID (if SID is still on there), that would give you your FTP access.
However, just install the sofmod, run the AID 2.02 ISO (make sure you've updated the original 2.0 with both the 2.01 and 2.02 updates) choose the softmod menu and install either nkpatcher+ms dash or pbl+ms dash.
Hope that helps...

if you installed a firewall like zonealarm disable it , also enable passive mode in flashfxp _________________
I just have Windows and my router firewalls up. But, last time when I FTPed I just had to change the IP and I could connect. What caused this?
Also, how do I switch to passive mode with SmartFTP?

SmartFTP should have a button along the top that just says "PASV" - its right next to the three buttons for selecting ascii, binary, auto...you won't be able to "press" it until you are connected (or trying to connect).

Alright I successfully restored my X-Box to it's modded glory. Now, I am looking at my E drive and notice I am at 4.3 gb. I've had a game that was 4.5, therefore impossible to back up now. What is deleteable off the C and E drive to get more space for those games? I can't put a new HD in as I bought one for my PC. Thanks guys.

What's deleteable? well, basically nothing. if you delete files from C drive, your MS dash won't work, and the only real thing on E Drive is the gamesaves, and you certainly don't want to delete them.
If you want to back up the game, put the disc in the DVD drive and FTP the contents over to your PC, make an ISO, and burn it. There's no way you can store that sized game on your normal stock hdd.
