I tried to mod my xbox v1.1 with installer 2.0.
Is that a prob?
I used SID.Splinter.Cell.v2.0.Xbox-Hq, SID.Splinter.Cell.v2.0.PAL.Xbox-Hq
When all is copied to my hdd i get at the top a linux profile (wich was the installer originally i think) and at my splintercell directory i get also a linux profile.
When i do the load game it hangs or does nothing.
So the installer i copied is gone. Should i put the installer in the profilefolder when i copy it to my memorycard.??

Ok I downloaded but I cant seem how to open it. It has a little white piece of paper with three different colored squares on it. Everytime I click on it it says I dont have the right program. What program do I need to open it up. Ok thanks

I have a xbox v. 1.6b and i used a newer action replay 8mb to softmod my xbox...i used the splintercell version.
I installed linux an such and i backed up my drives and...being dumb... i set my settings to everything auto launch and i downloaded unleash x.
I then rebooted my xbox without splintercell and it went to this screen that said service required. call customer support. it says this in all diff. languages.
but it still loads games and splinter cell and linux profiles. it also redoes the softmod thru splinter cell.
what do i do..how do i fix this???

reinstall the softmod again..
When you selected to download avaluanch it overwrite the softmodded data files on your xbox.
Just install the softmod again using the SID method and you will be back in action in no time..
btw guys.. SoftMod Installer Deluxe 3 is out now.. I would suggest using it..

man i have i huge problem.
i've installed SID 3.0 and it worked perfect. Then i pushed patch ms dash5960. (didnt know what it was and it was late ) it gave a error..(rename). I thought nothing wrong..i rebooted my xbox with tray open and i get a 21 xbox requires service error. i booted it with closed tray and the same thing! But it still could read games..Then i went to bed and my dad pulled of the power that night. now it doestn read games, so it cant softmodded. is the only thing i can do now is using a mod-chip? or is there a other way

Hopefully you should be able to boot games still.
Just leave the xbox off for a few more hrs and then plug back in..
Hopefully you will then be able to boot ORIGINAL XBOX GAMES and reinstall the softmod..
If all else fails you can always put in a SOLDIERLESS modchip and then it will be working again..

ok...i finally got my softmod working and all setup and its letting me play games,music,dvds and such...but what i want to do is play halo2 online......and cheat just lke everyone else and help people gain lelvels...
but how do i do that?
Its not letting me get on the internet with any game.....it still has my account name and password and stuff for xbox live.
I use a router and adelphia dsl.
what do i have to do to play on my old account using my mod?

if you try and go on XBL live with your softmod installed you WILL get banned. you have to restore ms backup on the SID menu to go on xbox live. then restore mod backup to put the mod back on _________________ <b><u>Xbox v1.6</b></u>

Hey, I just downloaded SID from I-Hacked (http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/114/62/) and tryed to drag the folder, which is not zipped, into the PC Database, but it says its not a valid Xbox Save. What am i doing wrong? Oh, and I downloaded the bit torrent thing from their site so i could open the file. What is weird is that it was 0 kbs when i downloaded it. It contains a text document, RAR file, MD5 fil, and SFV file, all of which are 0 kbs and named Softmod.Installer.Deluxe.v2.0.Xbox-Hq
