Hi,
I don't have the original games to use whern installing the SID. But is it also possible to install the SID when you hook up the new HDD on to a hardware modded Xbox?

no because you need the eeprom(i think that i spelled that right) of your xbox to unlock/lock the hardrive that you are making for you xbox.
i hope that makes sence

well, i think there is a tut out somewhere that shows how to use a locked hard drive on another xbox
all you need to do is power on the one that has the hard drive you want to add the software to and let it load, then unplug the IDE cable from the hard drive and hook it into the xbox that has the chip in it then turn that on..all the while leaving both xboxes on then just do what you need to do...i dont know how safe this is though...
