I know right off you are going to say Xenium. But, I have no soldering experience and I don't really want to go Xenium solderless. Is it easy to do the quicksolder with Xenium on a V1 Xbox? I don't know, open for any opinions. Thanks for any help in advance.

Get a Xenium Ice and solder it using a pin header.

Forget the XBIT! You will thank me later.

That is really what I wanted to do in the first place, but with no solder experience, can I pull this off? And is there anyway to just melt the solder in the holes I have and just insert a pinheader? It sounds dumb, but I just want to make sure I can do this before I buy anything.

The heat required to make the solder hot enough to push the pinheader in might damage the xbox. Plus the area and it's pinheaders are so small that you would need real good soldering skills to pull it off. I don't know why you don't wish to use the solderless. I have a V1.0 and used the solderless with great ease and with no issues. I think you are going to paint yourself in to a corner of making the easy, difficult. Just my humble opinion.
