Hi, I am a complete noob, I just bought a new xbox today and had intentions on softmodding this new xbox. First off I installed softmodd using mechassault save from action replay site, codejunkies. I ran mechassault and installed linux. After installing linux I ran softmodd installer, then I installed evox, then I copied a back up of ms dash thingy it shows at the top, and copied back up mod. Restarted xbox without a disc in the tray and went to evox. played around with it, downloaded halo 2 onto hardrive, hacked some files. I turned on a file I didnt want so I restart xbox. tray closed. This is where it really fux up. When I restarted it, it brought me to the xbox logo and microsoft service screen and didnt go no further, I assume my dashboards are deleted, so I insert mechassault hoping to run linux again. Linux was somehow deleted off of my xbox and did not show up under campaign mode. The only way I can get action off this xbox is by inserting a disc and restarting it. It will play the game but I dont have any dashboards of anykind. PLEASE TELL ME I DIDNT MESS THIS UP! I am a complete noobie at all of this.. I dont know what all the ftp.. and ect. means. I just know how to install linux. thats all. nothing else.. please help me fix my noobie mistakes.

wen you run your savegame exploit game, does it have the exploit on your hardrive. if its there, then install the softmod, and use AID to install a dashboard
