My xbox is moded got a 160 gig hd in there i was woudering if i could just...use my old retail hd put in my moded xbox and use Auto-Installer Deluxe v2.0 install the soft mod on my old retail xbox hd...and then take my friends retail unmoded xbox hd out and put my retail xbox hd soft moded with Auto-Installer Deluxe v2.0 and put it in his xbox...and it would be soft moded...reason i cant do it the memory card way is because i dont have any of the games needed to do so.

yeah that should work fine.
they wont be able to play on XBL if they played on xbl before. the hdd key is married to the eeprom.
