I'm using the version that comes with AID2, and WMV files that used to work perfectly with XBMC, now simply freeze XBMC an I have to restart the XBOX.
Anyone else had this problem? I've always had problems with videos occasionally freezing when I open them, and it's always been worse with WMV, but now these ones simply aren't working.

Try adjusting the cache in the system settings menu see if that works _________________ XBOX v1.6

By adjusting did you mean increasing? And no luck with any tweaking I've managed to do.
Gah, getting this program fully functional is ridiculous! Everyone else seems to just pop in their AID and it's fine! >_<

u need to goto the xmbc/system/player or /mplayer/codecs. there u will find a readme.txt. it will point to a link to download the necessary codecs. works for me. now i can play wmv and rmvb.

Hey Funky,
I wasn't going to mention to these guys b/c they aren't VIP and won't help them.
I uploaded a different compile of XBMC to the site. its the 30.5.2005 build from the "usual places" its under apps/xbox/xbmc pg.2
See if that helps at all, I have had problems with the one off of Aid 2.02
For you 2 other guys, go to "the usual places" for software and they have another FTP option to download....the usual places being xbins. _________________ XBOX v1.6
