Hello everyone,this is my 1st post in this forum, just wanted to say hi . I think your AID v2.0 is a must have for all modded xbox users, it was easy to use and I am impressed with the results. I wanted to know if the softmod installer is really as simple to do as it looks(i've done a bit of studying and think i've got it). My mate wants me to softmod his xbox and was wondering if there is anything i should be carefull of. I have never fitted a chip or modded an xbox myself but learn pretty quick(due to lack of job at the moment and hours of high speed research). Im going to use the 007 hack, and i'm going to use my modded xbox to transfer the save to memory card(after I ftp it to my xbox). His disk drive is a bit dodgy, so will I be able to swap it with mine to do the mod, then swap it back? I'll install some games on his hdd until he gets a new drive. sorry that was so long Any reply appreciated. Matt

I am not real sure what your trying to ask but I will try to answer it. If you mean puting in each other HD into the others xbox then no. But if your just gonna mod his, then do like you said put the game save on a card and run it on his. And make sure its the original version of the game not a platinum and what not. And when modding his make sure to back up his eeprom and HD key. So that in the event something extreme goes wrong you can fix it. And you will need it in order to replace his HD with a new one anyways. _________________

Thanks for replying, I dont want to swap hdd's, I just want to know if i can swap my DISK DRIVE with his cos his is a bit dodgy. When the softmod is done then swap them back. Sorry for posting here, will try the softmod section next time! Cheers ... Matt

When you say DISK DRIVE do you really mean the cd rom unit?
