this is what went in that little hole
this is finished before i redid the front.
im repainting th front right now, and it should be finished soon. im too busy working on my other project to stop and finish it. anyways, ill post some pics later of iit completed.

thanks. i wanted to do something a little different, and i wanted to make more room for a hub. i felt like moving the drives to opposite sides really met both of those requirements. ive been working on a slim box for about a month now, and its coming along nicely. ill post some pics when its finished.

That is a cool box dude!
I`ve been working on puting my sixteen port hub into
my pc case. got it so it fits lovley but havn`t got round to adding
the power for it yet.
have you used a internal power source for it?
I have noticed that my hub runs happy with either 7.5v or 10v adaptors.
just never found out which one was meant for it tho.

i think you might actually be able to fit a slim ps2 in it if you get ride of the dvd drive on the xbox.

hey, i was just wondering, do you have any tips for fitting the hub in there becasue I want to put mine in my xbox, but i dont know if i should do just sitting on top of my chip out the side or hang it (somehow??) in the back like you did. I really like what you did. Would you mind sharing your tips and tricks?? thanks! _________________ Blue Chaos

i used the trey pictured in this shot to mount my hub. the dvd drive is actually on the other side of my xbox. if you go the route i went there is more room where it used to be then you know what to do with it. ive seen a hub underneat the dvd drive in a stock case before, so i know it can be done, but ive never done it before. (i used a heatgun to bend a piece of plexi for the hub trey. then i epoxied it to the back of the plexi underneat the hub).

the thermometer was just a attached to a four pin molex conecter.so i cut it off (it is 5v), and soldered it to the points underthing the power supply where the molex attaches to it. then it just placed the actual thermal indicator beside the cpu, gpu. i have a 1.6 so i wanted a some form of know how hot it was running.
