Hi,
I was looking to use SID 2.0 to mod one of the newer xboxes that is coming out. It is a version 1.6c although I'm not sure if it will cause me any trouble. Has anybody tried it with a 1.6c yet? Please let me know the verdict, I'll keep checking this thread, Thanks.

"SID v2.0 has been tested on many Xboxes, including the new Xbox 1.6b version, and has been proven to work." the words from the creater DJB (not me) Plus i tried it on all my friends (wide range of xboxes) including the newest xbox which was bought two weeks ago

I know it's been tested on the newer ones... mine is a 1.6B so I know it works. I just wanted to know if it works on the latest one. My friend just purchased the Halo 2 package and it comes with a 1.6C version xbox. I know the creator mentioned the 1.6C MIGHT come with a different BIOS or something like that. Just wondering if anybody has had any experience with that specific version yet. I've been searching through the forums and havn't come across anybody that's actually tested the SID 2.0 on a version 1.6C xbox yet.

It should work fine with 1.6C's hopefullly, since me nor my testers had access to one at the time I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty confident it will.

What do you mean by "it" ? Do you mean the original Xbox game you boot with, or your softmod doesn't show all your drive?

Ok i used SID 2.0 to mod a xbox not sure if is a 1.6c but it was manufacture 040705 so it's brand new. I softmode using the mechassault CD and SID 2.0 the original hard drive is working fine but when i change to a 300GB HD. it does not work every time a boot up the XBOX is giving me ERROR CODE 5 saying that the HD is not lock...........
I used slayer CD to particion the drive on my chip xbox. and ftp the C and the E drives to the new HD. with no luck.....

Well,
Sound like you didn't lock your hd properly, use xboxhdm to option 3 to automatically lock your hd. _________________ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/SeaWolf69/DSCN2248.jpg
