If you are positive you have everything correctly installed, you could be booting up into recovery mode..what is your Xbox eject light doing?? Is it blinking orange?? If so, remove your chip and flip the revovery switch to the other direction.
If you are not getting the flashing orange light, but instead is flashing red/green then you have an install problem.

thanks for helping me out modgod i've tried your suggestions
i am not getting any frag just the solid green and when i hi the eject button it flashs green five times and ................
i flipped the switch to cover the black marking and hit the eject button and receive the orange light mod chip light is green
i flipped the switch to cover the white marking and hit the eject button and receive the orange light mod chip light is red
?
if it s a solderless adapter do i still have to remove the fourth pin ?
i am thinking that this is a bad chip !!!!!!!!!!!
i wonder what those odds are of receiving a bad chip?
i have ever thing else prepared i was going to put 250 GB on this system . i have the bois on cdrw and i brought a fan adapter.

Well, the only thing that I would try is this.
You got the orange flashing light when you did the recovery, so you should at least try to recover the chip if you can.
First, downloade Xenium ICE OS 2.2.1 and burn it to a DVD-R (make sure you download the .ISO version not the HDD version.
burn it to a DVD-R and insert it into the xbox's dvd drive. Flip your Xenium Ice switch into the recovery position.
When you turn the machine on next, you should get the flashing orange light, but that should quickly change to a flashing green/red light. That will last a minute or so and then your machine will shut off.
Go ahead and flip the switch back and turn the Xbox on again. If you do not get the Xenium Ice OS menu and you are certain your install is sweet, I would say you have a bad chip.
What this does is, it assures that you just dont have an OS problem with the chip. By putting in one of the newer OS's you are eliminating that element and narrowing down to a bad chip instead.

No problem man. I'm unsure why so many Xeniums are bad out of the bag...but, I do see that quite often. I usually have one or two out of every shipment that I get.
Glad you got it all sorted out.
