Hello i have just recently purchased an xbox premoded from a website online. there are a few questions i have to ask the first is i really dont know how to make a BIOS.BIN does it have to have 2 different bios in the 1mb file, 2nd thing to ask is i dont know how to make and ISO i think i know how to make the dummy file that is just a normal folder, and third what is flashing ?? is that what the bios is for , and last can anyone send me the EvolutionX beta v1.8 3**** from this site i cant download it for some reason Thanks all

First off, welcome to the site. Second, you need to give some more specific info on your machine. What bios are you trying to use? What chip is in your machine? Stuff like that. Second, we have a TON of tutorials that tell you exactly how to flash a bios. Go to tutorial, and type in the word flash, you will get several results. Ok first thx asmunch and realmccloy for your help so far and you want to know about my system it has an Xecuter 2.2pro in it umm i really dont care what bios i just want to get it to work like my friends he has but he doesnt live around me ne more or i would ask him for help but his basically saves games to his xbox and plays them when he wants and i also would like to play xbox live on it so can you tell me about that . and i would like to put the EvoX dashboard on it thx bye

Sure, the way mine is set up is when my machine first boots I see a screen that says Xenium. It only stays on for a brief moment then I come to a screen that lists a few selections: First selection is MS Dashboard, Second is Xecuter2, then bank 2, bank 3, Configure, Reboot System, Shut down. When I want to play on XBOX Live, I just select MS Dashboard. When that loads I know for sure because the word Microsoft appears underneath the Xbox logo. When I select Xecuter2, of course that appears underneath the logo as the system boots further. Xenium does not make any type of bios to the best of my knowledge, but there are plenty others out there. Like I have mentioned before, I am using the Xecuter2 bios. I currently have about 15 games backed up on my hard drive. It's nice not having to put the disk in...it really is. When I want to go on XBOX live I just shut my system down, turn it on, select MS Dashboard, then put the disk in. It has worked flawless for me. I just got it about three weeks ago. My bios came preinstalled, so I lucked out because from what I have been seeing getting the bios and EvoX all configured tends to be the trickiest part.. It's pretty rare to get a hacked bios from a company that makes mods. The link 'munch' provided gives awesome material on how to go from start to finish. Yesterday I purchased a Limited Edition Halo XBOX at walmart and I am going to attempt my first mod on my own. Of course I have a lot of reading to do and I expect to have problems at first. Hang in there and go through that tutorial thoroughly. It will really help you. As far as what bios you put in, that is entirely up to you, but remember some bios' allow you to do things others do not. Make sure that the features are acceptable to you prior to flashing. There are three or four people that I have noticed on this site that really know what they are talking about. Each time you run into a particular problem, make a post and I am sure one of them will get back to you. Thanks man...I'm crossing my fingers that it goes somewhat smoothly. With that said, I will probably not be around much the next couple weeks as I have to send my PC back to HP for warranty repair....YUK. Not too happy about it since it's a brand new PC and I don't have another. What a fiasco this has been. All over a measly power supply fan crapping out. We just moved into a new house and for the life of me I cannot find my receipt. And, of course, they have no record of my online registration. I had to guess the exact day I bought the machine and call CompUSA and go through four people till I found someone with enough brain to find a copy of my sales receipt. So tonight I'll be backing up all my files and hopefully be able to ship it out tomorrow. Got some good news today, they agreed to send out my power supply to me so I can install myself. Should have it on Moday or Tuesday since it's coming FEDEX. Yes, it is...and at 10:00AM this morning FED EX was already at my door. Gotta throw out a kudos to HP. I didn't get the Power Supply actually ordered until 3:45PM yesterday, and it's already here. Was a pain to put in though. Man, they buried some connections. Had to remove DVD Burner, CD ROM/Burner to slide out the power supply, and then had to remove floppy drive just to unplug power from the board.
