Ok Ive got a copy of the latest Cromwell BIOS, and Im pretty sure I should just flash it onto my ICE chip... But what do I do then? Has anyone else done this sucsessfully.

I want to run Linux because I read that you can run PS1 CDs str8 from the box on the PSX emu.
I figured I could also find an ISO creation tool for linux as well so that I can rip games like xbox games.

i have dynebolic linux on my xbox and use it with my regular hacked bios. i edited the evox.ini so i can launch it from evox. i dont think you need the cromwell bios to run linux. but its nice to have if thats all you want to use your xbox for.

what version/distro of linux are you going to install?

Ya the PSX for Xbox EMU will only read BIN and ISO files.
The developer said when he tried to see if it would read the PS1 discs it would read at like 0.2X speed. So thats why it wasnt incorporated.

He mentioned that he had heard that the PSX emu for linux COULD read discs at normal speed. Also he couldnt make a PS1 Cd ripper because of the same speed problem. So if I could find one made for linux as well... well you know the rest Very Happy
