Mom is a VP for a cellular phone company up here in the Northeast of the US. The reason for rebates is because they've established some sort of ratio (I believe 33% or something that actually sends in. So only 1/3 of the people that receive rebates actually bother with them, thats why they do it. (Not saying i believe it's a good idea, it's as big of a pain in the ass to me, believe me). _________________ Brandon Cossette

Oh yeah, that's definitely why they do it. Just
like whenever they have 7 day
trials for programs . They know that
you may not call in and cancel the thing
in the first 7 days and at least can bill
you for an entire month after that.
I typically stay away from rebates because
it's too hard for me to track. I usually am
buying 40-50 HD's a month, but for my
personal machines I don't mind. I just got
