Xbox version 1.0 1.1

I recieved my chip today 4/8/04
I followed the directions and installed my Xecuter2.3BLite chip solderless. I get a green & 2 Blue lights when I disable the chip the original Xbox dash comes up and I can get games to boot. (Can still see the lights when I look under the dvd drive.

But when I enable the chip on bank 1 the xbox stops and restarts 3 times with a loud beep on the 2nd restart. The eject light flashes red/green but nothing happens. The dvd does not eject and nothing shows on the screen.

But when I enable the chip on bank 2 the xbox stops and restarts 3 times with a loud beep on each restart. The eject light flashes red/green but nothing happens. The dvd does not eject and nothing shows on the screen.

this is with the switch set to protect or unprotect. Just the beeps are different.

I did not try to flash the chip.

Did I install the chip wrong?

Can anbody help?
directions can be found at
http://www.xbox-modchips.com/tutorials/x2liteplus.htm
according to them I did everything right except ofr the disk ejecting.

Actually yes you did. The chip is very finicky and even though the green light is on, it isn't set perfect. Try tweaking it a little bit and make sure it is still on. It took me several trys to get it right.

O.k But I've take the chip to someone else to get help and we had the same problem. Any suggestions? My Xbox is a 1.0 with the solder still in the LPC holes. Should I take the solder out? I've wiggled, jiggled, and nudged.

I installed an XBIT, which is solderless, on a 1.0. I removed the solder from the LPC points in order to get the pogo pins to sit better and to be closer to the D0 point.

hi MarcMan
no you did't do it wrong had the same problem.
make sure all conections are good and tight I had one loose
connection and had the same problem. that is why solderless is not the way to go. I got rid of my solderless 1 week later.
