i accidentally erase xboxdash.xbe in my xbox while ftping with my pc. i tried to boot it back with my backup xboxdash but it won't boot.
first thing i did i rename the xboxdash to default.xbe and i made a 50mb
dummy file and rename it to abc.dat and use xiso and burn it using nero
with a dvd+rw.
Please me help i tried everything .What should i do ??

Ok I'm asuming you have a modchip and do you have a slayers boot disc? If not you should get one and then you can just pop that into your xbox and it should load up Evox and you can just reinstall that and then get back your normal stuff. I had almost the exact same problem as you on one of my xboxs I did an exploit and all was working but then I messed something up and there goes my m$ dash, so anytime I would boot up it would give an error screen so I just installed a modchip. Then threw in slayers and everything was all good. _________________ Xbox V1.4

If you already have a modchip installed just do the following:
1. Get your hands on Slayers Auto Installer v2.5.. Its around 105mb..
2. Burn the iso using nero to a dvd-r or cdrw that you know your xbox will boot..
Dont worry to much about the dummy file just yet.. we want to get your xbox working more..!
3. Boot slayers and choose install retail dashboard..
