I got everything working great. Made a dvd-r or Evox, and Flashftped into my box. Earlier I tried to look at the default.xbe with notepad, and it associated it with notepad. Then after I backed up my original hdd, I continued to load the Evox onto the new one with all the skins and what not. I changed the name of the default file to the same one that was already on the xbox hdd....(xboxdash.xbe I think) anyways after successfully copying everything over, I rebooted the xbox, and got error code 14 and red and green lights. Then I noticed the file was still associated with notepad. I think either the notepad thing is the problem, or I should have left it as default.xbe. Anyways, now I am trying to reload my old xbox hdd info, but I cannot find a tutorial or have the "know how." Can someone help please?
This is the tutorial I used when I replaced mine. I printed it out and followed it step by step and it worked fine. _________________ XBOX v1.1:

I would just use an AI and reinstall my dash. Your problem is a dash problem. You either have something named wrong, missing a file, or a corrupt file. No biggie.
An AI (Autoinstaller) will do many things for you. Among them, installing one of four dashboards, installing every application you will possibly need, tons of emulators, and it will even reformat/partition your HD.
Since you area trial VIP you have access to this AI. AID 1.0.1
Take advantage of it!!
