Okay, this is my first time doing this, and I have been messing with it for a few days now. It's 1 am and I don't feel like reading anymore to try find my fix!! Anyways here's the problem. I moded with the X-chip. I have a v1.6 Xbox and soldered everything that needed to be with visually and continuity tested connections. (I tested either side of the connection.) Then booted up and got crap. Loaded EvoX v1.3 for X-chip and rebooted. No more Christmas light show. Then ejected the dvd drive, and got a quick EvoX dashboard, and then the error code 16. This is supposedly the Dashboard error code. Also, the Green and Red lights started blinking again but slower. I followed the directions on the website to create an ISO of the default.xbe, evox.ini, bios folder, skins folder, and 55Mb of junk data. I used a Ritek 4x dvd+r and burned at 2.4x. tried to load it and got the same thing as before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm gonna grab some Z's for now though.

hi abo,
well you have found the right place mate.. We are all here to help!
ok.. This is what i would suggest if you are sure your modchip is fitted correctly.
1. Download the XBOX HQ Auto Installer Deluxe v1.01
2. Unzip/Unrar the .rar/zip file so you have a .iso file (WINRAR)
3. Now burn the .iso file to a CDRW/DVD-R using nero or DVDDECRYPTER
4. try and boot the autoinstaller in your XBOX
It should boot first go ify ou have burned to DVD-R
If it doesnt work all that is wrong isy our BIOS needs to be flashed.
All modchips when shipped come flashed with a 'CROMWELL BIOS'.
This CROMWELL BIOS one of the only LEGAL BIOSES for the modhcips.
To flash your modchip follow the instructions which should be on the modchip site..
