Yup
If it wasn't for forahobby you probably wouldn't even see me here
Thanks to him:
* I stopped using my Commodore 64 and finally upgraded to a PC
* I am now designing websites, as he was my first teacher
* I bought an Xbox instead of a PS2 (was unsure at the time what to get)
* I've been able to advertise my Auto-Installers over the last 6-7 months
Honestly in the 13-14 years that I've known him, he has become one of my best buddies, if not my best buddy. We've taught each other a lot over the years (yes, he gets me into xbox and I end up showing him stuff, hehe).
It was just something that Forahobby knew about me (which I didn't at the time obviously) that I would really adapt to the Xbox well, and I must admit I have.
So, in general, if anyone has thanks for me being involved with the Xbox, thank Forahobby. As if it wasn't for him, I'd probably be still playing my Commodore 64 and PSone.

Ha Ha Ha Ha! Commodore 64!
Ya, for serious tho. I havnt been here all too long. But if it want for this place I would still be beating my head on my desk.
I finished modding my PC and I honestly was without a real hobby for about a year.
Because of this site I have found a constructive hobby that runs right next to my studies in school.
Thanks for a great time Forahobby, and for hosting the wealth of knowledge that weve come to call Xbox-HQ. We know your working hard and we appreciate it very much!
Keep up the good work mate! _________________ -Scourge "Rx = +/_\"

Wandering around for a new challenge in modding (after hacking the hell of my ps2) I steped into this website. Instantly I knew I had to become a vip member as the wealth of knowledge and comaderie were unrivaled.
I have been to other websites were oldtimers treat newcomers literally as crap. But that doesn't happen here. I have posted several stupid questions (although at the time I thougth they were ok) and always got a friendly good response.
I'm sticking with this site for a long time. For that I praise forahobby and all the regulars that spend their free time answering people's questions and sharing their knowledge.
Thanks you guys, this site is the best iin the scene. _________________ 2 Xbox V 1.0

I agree, if it was not for forahobby my site would not be off the ground yet as 80% of my traffic comes from here, I like the feeling of being a part of something, and if everyone continues to work together it can only get better.

isn't that unbelievable??
As forahobby can attest to, I have laid into people big time on XBS and other forums for flaming noobs. I will have to say that the attitude here is the main reason why we continue to have such a great community here.
No secrets, no RTFM replies or anything like that.
I remember over at XBS someone asked what error code 05 meant. It was his first post... One of the moderators gave a reply that really pissed me off. It said: There's this little thing you may not have heard of, it's called a search engine. It's really cool. All you have to do is type in what you are looking for and it gives you links to all of the information available for that particular search. I know it's rather new and a lot of people may not know of it, but I suggest you learn how to use it.
He took all that time to type that out. When all he really had to say was, "It means your HD needs locked". For more info check here: and give him a link...
I gave two replies.. one to the person who needed the help and the other went to the the moderator and it said something to the effect:
they have this thing called a forum. Not sure if you ever heard of it. It's where people of all techical backgrounds and skill levels can ask questions about issues they are having with a machine, or just share information and ideas. Typically, when someone asks a question from these forums, their answers are helpful and explain directly how to solve their problems. These forums also have what are called, "moderators" These are supposed to be people who go out of their way to assure that the forum is being used properly. They keep the forum organized and give assistance whenever needed. If I were you, I'd take your own advice and use that other new thing called search engine and look up asshole. Your username is certain to be found.
Needless to say, I got a nastygram....lol. It just pissed me off that here is this person who is supposed to be helping people, and instead he was flaming. Just makes no sense.
Glad everyone appreciates the effort here _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the comments.. Very much appreciated..
We have been receiving alot of thanks lately from our members and this is what makes all our time and efforts worthwhile.. It takes alot of my own personal time to keep the site afloat (in the backgroudn) and i spend hrs and hrs everyday doing stuff you guys dont even see. lol
Im thinking of making a TESTIMONIALS module so our members can leave their comments about why xbox is one of the best xbox communities on the net..
The funniest thing really is this.. I broke up with my long time girlfriend for 4 years in 2000 and thats why i decided to spend some time being creative so i could get over it.. thank god we broke up eh?!?!? hehe
Its funny how things happen.. If it still had my high maintenance mrs this would never be. (yes, im glad she rooted around hehehe)
As im sure you can all imagine its been a long and rough ride to get to where we are BUT things are only looking better. We have gained respect from just about everyone of the worlds largest xbox sites now and we are only going to get larger.. I would like to thank all those members (who i cant mention because there are too many) for all their help lately.. You all know who you are.. Its getting hard to make a reply to help lately.. lol Everyone is too quick..
Anyway, im at work so i had better get back to it.. Just finishing desing another website for a client.
Enjoy the site guys and once again thankyou to all those helping making this site become what it is today! One of the best xbox communities in the world.

Soon enough we'll have more gurus here than any other site. If no question is too petty then everyone is willing to learn. Knowledge builds upon itself and through this shared wealth of it we can all only get better. _________________ -Scourge "Rx = +/_\"

Scourge hahahahaha
Ok so my two bits (as always)...
Yes sir, Forahobby is the one that got it all started and his hard work is to be commended. He rocks. Now as for the site...
It's his foundation that allowed the site to be what it is today. We are the ones that make it better than any website. We were noobs, we did the homework, we made the Xbox better than M$ could ever dream of. We make this site happen. It's the support of folks like us that keeps the site growing. Don't underestimate the immense amount of knowledge that we share everyday. Forahobby can revel in his success in the fact that in his own statement "Its getting hard to make a reply to help lately.. lol Everyone is too quick.. " That says volumes. So three cheers to the VIPS of this grand site. Ya'll deserve a huge pat on the back. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th
