I just finished installing an xecuter 3 and everything was going just peachy and then wammo!
Periodically when I have the system running the screen goes blank and the bottom is kind of squiggly then it lightens up to a light grey and sits there and doesn't do anything (won't respond to anything but a hard reset)

X3_1957 bios
this problem ocurrs no matter what i'm doing (flash bios/auto installer/m$ dashboard)
any help would be greatly appreciated
I just realized what it reminds me of
it reminds me of what happends when you run a dvd player through a VCR it gets all static and then fades, repeat

For one you should be using the X3 1959 bios.. not the 1957 as there were MANY problems with that. You also don't say whether this is a pin header install or a solderless install. But the first thing I would do would be put the updated bios on it, run it and see if that fixes the problem. I can say of all the X3 installs I have done I have had NO problems at all using the X3 1959 bios..

I just flashed to 1959 but I get the same thing
I have my box booted with the chip disabled to see if that makes a difference
nope still does the same thing , something else I notices when I'm trying to ftp into it the status of the netowork setting keeps switching from ip address and 100/full duplex to NO LINK
again i don't know how helpful that will be
