I was just wondering if anyone knew how long RockStars exclusive run agreement with Sony was. I've been looking for a release date but havn't had any luck.
My buddy has it on playstation2 and I got hooked on it

It'll probably be some time this year...
From memory GTA 3 + Vice City took a while to come to Xbox, it's just so they can promote other consoles a bit more I guess (which they need, lol).
Just hang in there, try and not think about it and it'll be on your doorstep sooner than you think

From what I've heard, it should be out about June or so. I also think I read somewhere that this is the last game from their exclusive contract so maybe the next gen gta will be released at the same time.
Just gotta wait and see, or learn some very good programming and emulate the ps2 on the xbox _________________

A lot of people are probably going to be disappointed with the Xbox version. It isn't going to be like GTAII and Vice City. Since they are just porting it and not taking the time to redo it like they did with the previous titles I am sure some will be definitely disappointed.
Granted, it would add a year to the release date so I am also sure many are happy that they are just porting and not producing a new game altogether.
What baffles me is why they didn't get two teams together when they first started making this game. One team for PS2 and one for Xbox. I guess they didn't want to spend the extra coin.

I only played the previous titles on the xbox. what changes did they do for the xbox release?
were they just graphical changes, storyline changes or gameplay changes.

Rockstar initially released a press release indicating June, but one the guys who used to work at Gamespot told me:
