I have installed EvoX onto the harddrive of my XBox and now all sorts of problems have occurred. When I disable the chip I can no longer boot up official microsoft dashboard; it comes up with 'call helpline: service required' and starts FRAGing. I can't use original DVD's when using EvoX... it loops from a green evoX screen back to the skinned menu. I also thought EvoX made it possible to play multiregion DVDs. I have a backup of C and E and I had no problems before installing it on the hardrive. (I was previously running it off a CD-RW).

Can someone help me?

HI Bagpuss,

Well first of all i would get yourself a copy of Slayers Auto Installer v2.5..!! This will make your task alot easier.. You can dowload it from #XBINS on IRC.. Smile

So have you upgraded your hard drive? If you have upgraded the hard drive you need to LOCK the hard drive again.

ok, when your modchip is turned off your XBOX HARD DRIVE must be LOCKED for it to boot ok.. This is why your getting that error.

Give us more info.. Its hard to guess mate..

What chip you got?

The chip is an Xecuter 2.3 Lite Plus, and I haven't changed the hard drive, but will be doing in a few days. Can you give me any help? I don't even know how to lock my drive.

Hi,

Sounds to me like you need a fresh install.. If you have a back up your C:\ and E:\ Xbox Partitions your ready to go..

ok.

Your need to dowload a XISO (ISO file) named.. Slayers Auto Installer V2.5.. Information can be found in theofurms where to download it.. (USING MIRC #IRC)...

After you download it just burn it to a dvd-r/cdrw that works with your xbox dvdrom drive and then just boot it..

Once it boots it will look similar to evox but have many new options..

All you want to do is choose the option.. Format Retail XBOX HDD..

Thats it wait for it to finished then reboot.

btw.. you can also use CONFIGMAGIC on this disc (choosing it from the menu upon bootin in your xbox).. Then you can lock you hard drive..

keep us in the loop..
