i need to know exactly how to softmod an xbox

It's rather easy get yourself a kit called ltools. Then using a action replay dongle and memory card transfer that file to the memory card. (The Ltools come in three flavors, Mech Assault and other 2, for the example I will refer to Mech Assault).
Turn on your xbox with no games on the dvd drive. On the dashboard go to game saves and transfer the Ltools file from the mem card onto the xbox. Turn off your xbox and load up the Mech Assault (it has to be the first version dont get the platinum version of mech assault or it wont work).
Start a campaing and load the one that says run linux. Follow the instructions and you'll be done. _________________ 2 Xbox V 1.0
Ltools 1.8 installed
160 gb hard disc (yes you can install one without a modchip)
