i did a softmod to the xbox sucessfully with ltools MA exploit. (PBL-Metoo, X2 Bios, and Evox dash). it worked for 3 days untill i had to take a 5 hours drive back home with the xbox in my trunk. now when i get to my home and hook the xbox up it just displays the xbox/microsoft splash and stops there. i have tried both booting retail and backups. and i tried booting without a game. and with the tray open. still no luck. ive also taken apart the xbox and verified there are no loose cables. the strange part is that i dont get any error message. so does anyone have any ideas/suggestions on what went wrong or what i can do?
btw. i have a soundsystem in my car with a decent amount of bass. u think 5 hours of head ratleing bass may have messed up the h/d or the dvdrom?

Could either be a mobo issue, or a bios issue.
It sounds like the bios isn't loading.
Does the entire X show and then when it tries to load the Microsoft Bios that is when it freezes??
If so, then it must be the bios not loading causing the freeze. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

1. i power on the xbox.
2. the animated splash screen plays. then goes to display the X with xbox written under it.
3. it take about 10 seconds then microsoft displays in white text beneath the xbox text.
4. nothing. it just stays there with the xbox/microsoft splash as mentioned in 2 and 3.
thx for the help. hopefully i can get this figured out.

not sure I'm willing to test this theory on yer xbox but put a vidio cassette in yer boot were your xbox was and see if the magnets mess the tape up. Years ago my mates missus put here back street boys tape on my parcel shelf (only a couple of miles to close to my 12 inch subs!) only to find that when she played it you'd get half a second of wailing then half a second of silence then half a second of wailing etc. Live and learn! might have been the way u woz drivin tho. LOL

I think what blighty is trying to say is that the magnets on your speakers could have erased or corrupted the bios in your xbox through the strong magnetic field. If this is the case your stuffed and probably the files on your hard drive as well.
Sorry for the negative and I hope this is the wrong conclusion but if the magnetic field in your trunk is strong enough, five hours worth of exposure to these conditions could well be enough to damage your xbox _________________ XBOX V1.0
