link above is what i am looking for
and hello all
i just picked up a system like cheap and it was missing a thing(s)
can on here to see if i ll have any luck in obtaining them
like :
a power cable
a red lens , left side on the panel
and above that , the button cover , its like an oval or rectangle like
besides that , looking forward in learning a few thing(s) from it and from the forum . . . .
Which power cable? The one that plugs into the back of the console to provide it with AC power? If so, it is a standard Figure 8 power cord. You probably have some on other electronic devices in your household. TV sets, PS2, etc.

That power cable is the one MS used to replace the previously pretty standard 'Figure 8' (IEC C7) cable supplied with the Xbox originally.
There were a few (very few) reports of fires attributed to the cable which were actually due to the mediocre power plug connector socket design and connections to the power board.
That problem itself only applies to some early Xbox versions anyway and all other are fine with standard 'Figure 8' cables. So that replacement was not really necessary for most users by the time it was actually provided for free by MS.
It is a very nice piece of kit though, heavy duty, extended length and the on/off switch can be useful too. It doesn't say the switch block is a circuit breaker/RCD but the assumption is: it is.
This is backed up by a few anecdotal posts in other forums supporting that.
However if you're bothered about such things you could simply add a plug-in RCD to a 'Figure 8' cable and it would give you at least the same functionality and, possibly, even better protection.
