Does mining still burn out your GPU? And is AMD still king on this or can you use some crappy Intell GMA now? Ive got a brand spanking new Win8 Acer tower, unused because they locked the BIOS and cant put it to Legacy Mode and roll back to Win7. Its a quad core Pent with 8GB and Intel GMA and I wouldnt care about burning it out since its just collecting dust anyways

Yes, it will more than likely burn out your GPU in the end, especially if you don't look after temps, but by the time that happens, you could have made yourself quite a few thousand dollars and bought yourself another.

You can mine using any CPU or GPU when mining for currencies othern then bitcoin.. BITCOIN requires specialized ASIC hardware where ETH can be mined using just about any GPU and XMR can be mined using both CPU/GPU.
GPU mining will make you the most coin.. I have a decent PC fitted with 1 x GTX 980 gets around 300 H/s when mining XMR (monero) using the CPU. When ming using the GPU as well it adds an additional 450 H/s giving me 750 H/s. (not bad for a newb). With two machines running I can get nearly 2000 H/s.
I currently have 2 x GTX 980 GPU's mining and I'm looking to purchase another 2.. I started mining when bitcoin was in beta but i have not been able to get back into it until now.. It's a very exciting time in the Crypto scene. Loving it again!
Below you can find two mining files attached complete with instructions.. Just follow the simple instructions and you will be away and mining..
Anyway, sorry to ramble, but I'm just in the middle of work! Let me know how you go! Cryptocurrency is the future of money!

forahobby, I just wanted to thank you for putting up this thread and your recommendation to mine Monero (XMR). I've been wanting to learn more about how to mine crypto for sometime now but I could never find a trustworthy source.. Today, after only a few short weeks after joining up to the HQ Mining Pool I withdrew my first 0.1 Monero Coin.. (about $31.50 USD) It only took about 3-4 weeks to earn. I will certainly be donating some Crypto to the site in the near future. Oh and thanks for making such a wonderful site, we all appreciate it.

No problem at all iva, I made sure they were legit before even mentioning it.. I withdrew my first 0.1 in XMR back in January.. So I know they pay..
I signed up via http://bit.ly/HQMinerGate several weeks ago and decided to wait and see what it was like for myself. Well, I'm pleased to confirm that withdrawals work perfectly and I have been paid. The new GUI software outperforms most of the CLI miners i've been using and I love the dashboard as well.

I've actually earned a little over $380 AU dollars since I started, so good luck.. It really depends on how fast your CPU/GPU is and what coins you are going to mine.. I'm still mining XMR. _________________ HQ Network:
