I used xboxhd to install xbmc as I usually do, but this time using a 500gb Sata drive with a sata to ide converter board. Did the install and locking process and when installed in xbox, I got error 13, which seems to be dash issue. I put a game in and started and get error 21. I took the drive out and redid the entire mod again. This time I got an error 9 pop up. Any ideas? Is there something special that needs to be adjusted for a drive this size? or if using an adapter for sata? Thanks for your much needed help!

I've used a couple of the converters in the past and had issues with them as well. It's been some time since I've used them but the issues were odd, like what you describe. In the end I found that using WD Blue SATA hard drives seemed to be the most compatible solution. If you have another brand of SATA hard drive, try that.
