Hi,
I've 2 softmodded xboxs, one with a 40Gb hd, other one with 80gb hd.
I've successfully cloned using Chimp the 40Gb hd into 80Gb hd.
Obviosly 40Gb and 80Gb hd now working onto first xbox, but I want to put the 40Gb onto second xbox...
Can this be done without softmodding again ?
Thank you,
Lude

You'll need to unlock the HDD and re-lock it with the eeprom from the second xbox.
To do this you will need:
- FTP access to your Xbox
- PC with CD/DVD burner
- XboxHDM 1.9
- Desktop PC (You'll need IDE cables to connect the Xbox HDD)
1: Use ConfigMagic on the first xbox to create backup files. It will create 3 files in the root directory of your E: drive called EEPROMBackup.bin, EEPROMBackup.cfg, and EEPROMBackup.txt (could be E:/Backup, can't remember...)
2: FTP the files to your PC (You may need these in the future, so save them)
In your XboxHDM folder, you'll see a folder called 'linux'. Inside of that folder is a folder called 'eeprom'.
3: Copy EEPROMBackup.bin to /XboxHDM/linux/eeprom
3: Rename EEPROMBackup.bin to eeprom.bin
4: In your XboxHDM directory, run make-iso-win.bat (Use make-iso-lin.sh if you're using linux)
5: In that folder, you will now have a file called linux.iso. Burn it to a disc. (It should fit on a CD)
6: Repeat steps 1-5 with the second Xbox.
You should now have 2 XboxHDM discs. One with the eeprom.bin from the first xbox (Disc 1), and one with the eeprom.bin from the second xbox (Disc 2).
7: Shut down your PC with Disc 1 in the sc drive.
8: Disconnect all hard drives from PC.
9: Make sure that the jumper on the back of the Xbox hard drive is set to master. (There is usually a sticker on the hard drive to show you.)
10: Connect the Xbox HDD to your PC. Make sure you plug it into the connection on the end of your IDE cable. Not the connection in the middle. (End is master, middle is slave)
11: Turn on the PC and boot from CD.
12: When XboxHDM starts, enter 3 and press enter. (Boot to linux w/locking utils)
13: type "unlockhd -a" (without the quotes)
If successful, your hard drive is now unlocked.
14: Remove Disc 1, and insert Disc 2, reboot the PC.
15: Boot option 3 again.
16: Type "lockhd -a"
Your hard drive should now be locked with the eeprom from the second Xbox.
You should be done. Pop the hard drive into the second xbox and see if it starts. _________________ Xbox Original
