I have an xbox v1.0 that I performed the hotswap method for softmod using ndure. Then I used AID cd to install dashboard and emulators. Everything works great until the xbox is unplugged from power for any amount of time. After powering back up, the ring turns orange and screen goes blank and sounds like it goes into an endless boot loop. I can place the AID cd back in and reinstall the dash and all other files are still present. Is there a solution to this? I hate to have to reinstall the mod every time I move it or lose power. Thanks for the help!

I know bupkiss about hotswap and I've heard it can be risky.

Did you at least make a backup of your console's unique EEPROM.bin file?

That way you could reformat and repartition, then build your hard drive from scratch using xbox hard drive maker or one of its derivatives.

I agree. Rebuilding the HD would be a good start.

Have you removed the 1uF capacitor they was being used in place of a battery?
