A new version of AID / XBMCID could be in the works, as XBMC has had a massive update.

i would hold off for a little bit then, buzz is updating python to be compatible with latest xbmc, so the scripts and plugs arent all left behind.
latest nightly builds have the newer version of python

well to be honest it might be a while before there is a stable rls with new python, he just got 3.3 to stable, so maybe a less buggy nightly might be good enough for you idk im surprised they are pushing more out of these machines.

I dont use XBMC that much, but honestly 90% of what Ive seen far as updates go between 3.2-3.3-3.3.1 is for 1% of XBOX population. xmv support isnt really big since nobody is gonna use it lol. Why use an old shitty codec when you could use mp4 or mkv. And with guys modding skins for game preview vids nobodies gonna use xmv for it. Their gonna use one of the good codecs/containers that XBMC has supported for years like x264 or divx and mp4 or avi. The other "big" update was 128MB RAM support which again will see a very small following due to the limited number of owners. The rest of between build fixes usually address very small problems that only effect a very small percentage of the users.
I havent switched my installers from 3.2. Why because the updates arent big enough to the large portion of pop to make it worthwhile. If you use the latest stable that available when you decide to the release youll be fine and it will be a massive upgrade over the last AID/XBMCID since those bot have ancient builds
Something else to take into account is 3.2 will run XBMC in 720P(no 128 RAM upgrade), 3.3 always kicks me and many others a black screen. I havent used 3.3.1 but some of the guys who had black screen on 3.3 got it on 3.3.1 as well. Normally I would discount others having issues as user error etc, but I know 100% my XBOX is etup proper, my installs were proper and 3.2 worked no issue whether I used SID5, 5.11, 5.12(I did an unofficial USB release a while back-updated XBMC to 3.2 etc) or Babylon to softmod, and the install method of XBMC was the gamit as well.

i agree the difference isnt huge
but in saying that you gotta move with the times as the plugins sometimes wont work with 3.2 and so many older plugins are broken.
like 1channel plugin has had to be updated several times this year because they keep changing the url. also many plugins like twitch wont work in 3.3
i have two copies one 3.2 and one 3.3.
also this plugin xbmc earth is reported as not working in 3.2 but will in 3.3 ( i only installed to 3.3 so i cant confirm)
