XBOXFTP is for FTP between 2 XBOXs so you dont need it lol. For Ava click on Network-DHCP and reboot. Then Ava should have an assigned IP (by default it runs static)

I guess I can't hotswap to reinstall the missing dashboard files that were deleted when I tried to install EvoX but I am able to put a game in and play it. I guess my only option now is to do a game save softmod.

Just put the Babylon disc in turn the XBOX off and back on. It should boot fine and you can install a dashboard.

Alright so turning the Xbox on and off to try and get Babylon to run didn't work. I had to put a game disc in the drive to have it unlock the HDD that way. I installed the Pimped disc again just to get started and I tried to install anything at all from Babylon probably about 4 times now. Each time, when I reboot the Xbox, I get error 13. So I went back to just the Pimped UnleashX and now I can't get my Xbox to configure an IP address. In the settings I can go and type one in, then I reboot so that the new settings take effect but then they've been changed back to 0.0.0.0 when I boot up.

Alright so I installed "The Works F" this time instead of The Works E" and it worked. I then configured my static IP and I couldn't ping until I changed the default gateway to 0.0.0.0 on the xbox. Now I can ping but I'm still unable to FTP even after I installed everything with Babylon.

So after all that, this guide (http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-131.html) managed to work. Now all I have to figure out is how to get games on the HDD without burning/ripping and wasting discs in the process

Im glad you managed to get it sorted out. Ive personaly or as of yet had any report (other than you) of an FTP issue with any Babylon build. Why static IP? DHCP is much more friendly in my experience. Just curious.

Not sure why static vs DHCP. That's just what I remembered doing in all the tutorials I had done way back when and that's what worked this time around too. DHCP didn't work for whatever reason. Now that I am able to FTP to my new system, I realized that I cannot get the EEPROM off of the old system. After all, the reason I bought the new system was because the old box's LAN port had died and FTPing was therefor impossible. So I'm just gonna say eff it, mod the bigger hard drive for the new box, and FTP games to it.

I'm just wondering, how do you FTP games to the system so that they are playable? I understand that you can't just transfer an iso over to the games folder and expect it to work. I'm guessing there's some app I need to extract the files within the iso but in a particular format for the system. That's about all I know about it. Pointers?

First off you can still get the eeprom. You just need a USB or memory card to copy it to then use Xplorer360 to copy it from the USB/MC to your PC.

For games use an app called CXBOX-Tools to extract the ISO then FTP the folder it gives you to the XBOX. In some cases you may need to patch the game (you can do that with CXBOX as well)

Also something to think about is if the HDD isnt the stock XBOX HDD then it should have a Master password set which you can use to unlock it. If the HDD was locked using XBOXHDM it will be XBOXSCENE, if ConfigMagic was used the pass will be TEAMASSEMBLY
