YES!
the "eeprom.bin" is ESSENTIAL for that disk, FTP it from the console and place it in the correct directory of the "autobuilder" before you create a disk!
but yes, tis VITAL to upgrade/replace the hdd of the xbox...
without it, you be fucked!
FTP it from the console first then create an autobuilder/xbhdm disk!
...............
if you haven't done so already, create an "eeprom.bin backup" using the "avalaunch" dash! (backup EEPROM)
that can be found on the preliminary softmod routine OR SPPV's XBMC installer disk! (< the latter requires the console to be modded to read backup disks)
[edit]
watch this video clip, it shows you how to get your eeprom.bin off the console via FTP!
NO NEED to pay attention to getting the apps in advance (unless you don't already have them) just use what's relevant of this video clip! (dash used to create "eeprom.bin" backup is "avalaunch" and for FTP, "unleashx" is used!)

Hi Amiga1200,
Thanks for your Fast Reply, I do not understand.
0. I have the xbox taken apart the hard drive has not been modded yet it is a 250GB Seagate.
1. Can I just hook the UN-Modded hard drive into the computer and boot the XBMC installer 3.2.2 Disc ?
2. Still confused how to do this do you have a step by step ?
3. The xbox has not been modded yet do I put the original xbox hard drive back into it plug the ethernet cable into it and the other end into the computer and run an FTP program to get eeprom.bin?
4. How do I get the eeprom.bin ?

If the XBOX isnt modded already then you need to mod it before you can get the eeprom.

If the XBOX is still on reboot the PC pick option 1 then type xbrowser instead of xboxhd. Use the Midnight Commander file manager to copy(F6) the Pimped\c folder to the C drive on the HDD (pick dive into subdir) and the Pimped\E folder to E drive on the HDD (pick dive into subdir).

Hi SPPV,
Did exactly what you said above and am I supposed to retry the whole xboxhd hotswap again from scratch ? because I did and it still says insert disk with C and E files on it. this is really more complicated than I expected.

Make sure you follow the burning instructions included with 5.1. This cant be stressed enough. Use Rite-K DVD-r's or quality CD-r's. Always burn DVD-r at 8x and CD-r at 24x.
Its not hard, just you need to have all your ducks in a row (good DVD drive, quality media, good burn, proper hotswap etc)

Its a step-by-step thats worked for thousands lol. Like with any app there will always be failures, always be some who do exactly what the instructions say and still not get it.If you look at the AutoBuilder tut here on site you can see start to finish the whole operation. If you look at the Babylon thread you can see videos where it differs from Autobuilder which is just how it makes the disc. Install is identical.

Yup its all me lol. Babylon, SID5.12, AutoBuilder, Pimped, Emu Installer, XBMC Installer, Xtras Installer, Action Replay X64, UnleashX.40, XBOXHDM1.9b (I didnt write the original Ux, SID or HDM just updated them).
Only real difference (other than menu options) between the Babylon1.exe and AutoBuilder5.1 is I added archive support and wrote all the support files into the exe instead of having them be external and made it work specificaly with the files in the Babylon ISO. If you check the Babylon1.exe the internal name is AutoBuilder5.3 because really it is my 3rd revision of my fifth edition of AutoBuilder.

You need to use Babylon and pick X2 boot in the menu. It will create you a dual-boot installer. I never included dual-boot in any of the previous builds. Then its business as usual. Install is exact same as any other build. AutoBuilder/Babylon does all the hard work for you, on the user end nothing changes for what they need to do to install. Tried to make it as retard proof as I could
