Well, I recently bought a pre-owned crystal xbox 1.6 and was amazed at how hobbled it was in it's stock form, required dongle for DVD playback, etc. So I looked on torrent sites for an easy softmod, but there was none, which really didn't surprise me, given how old the machine is. Anyway, was really pleased to find a still strong community here.
I have learned quite a great deal from the tutorials that are posted here, and I now have the resources for a safe softmod.
Just want to say thanks to everybody here for the knowledge, pretty impressed.

Glad you like it. Im still updating the exploits and writing new apps for XBOX.
XBOX will never die, its the greatest console for modding ever made.

welcome to the site brit, it has taken our staff years and years to compile all of our downloads, tutorials and everything else. We hope you sure find it useful. Any questions ask away.. Just try to keep your questions in seperate threads.

XBOX is very much like the COMMODORE 64, well it will be. One of the most popular homebrew consoles of all time.. It has a real scene. The Xbox 360 was ok, but nothing like the original. Fingers crossed XBOXONE is hackable huh.

It would be nice if they made xbox 1 hackable, I read somewhere that it could be a developer console, though after launch I think, Fingers crossed eh?
Still waiting to softmod, my cable I ordered has not arrived yet, I can't do the PC route, because my PC is too new for xboxhdm, (No IDE slots). But I'm a patient man, and it just adds to my anticipation.
