Hey people, long time no see. Time to get taught a new trick. I am a bit confused on this one.

The situation: Trying to FTP just as I did using Windows XP SP3 using windows explorer typing ftp://xbox:xbox@xxx.xxx.xx.xx

Now that I finally built my gaming PC i'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
everything I try leads to the ftp opening in Waterfox and not windows explorer. I want to have standard folder access not clickable links. It would be preferable not to download a FTP Client but I will if needed be. What do you think?

Yes I went to "My computer", right-clicked, add network location.
It says "the folder you have entered appears to not be valid".

I think i just answered my own question.

I'm using Filezilla. Talk about super speed.

Apparently windows 7 is designed way differently when trying to ftp.. so I recomend filezilla.

For FTP using 7 is slightly different than XP. Open the folder that has what you want to FTP, select the files then click the address bar. Type FTP://IP address. Now type in the username and password. Then hit Alt, click view-open in windows explorer.
