Ive finished testing an update to Action Replay that allows it to run on 64bit PCs. I tested using Win7 HomePremium X64 and a blue M$ S-Controller and a Madcatz 8MB mem card.

The updated AR along with instructions is included as an attachment.

LMAO forgot to include the most important part in the instructions. After installing and updateing Action Replay, copy the Update21.42.exe to the root of the install folder. If this isnt copied it will refuse to install the MaxDrive drivers which renders it useless on x64.

Depending on your AV it might get mad first time you try to install Maxdrive drivers since this will edit registry and action replay files for it to work.

So one still need to edit the ini file in action replay so that it recognizes any USB drive by grabbing the info from your USB through the "USB view" program?

Yes there are 2 files you need to edit to add device IDs. This simply removes that annoying error screen "This program was designed to run on x86 machines, please check with the vendor for x64 edition" blah blah blah Very Happy It was just a matter of 1.42 not knowing to look in (x86) directories.

For editing AR for device IDs it goes like this
1)Use device manager or usbview to get the device ID.
2)Open the Action Replay install folder and open the xbreader.inf files (theres 2, 1 in the root of the folder, 1 in Drivers folder)
3)You will see lines of IDs like this :
%S_DeviceDesc1%=_Install1, USB\VID_05FD&PID_DBAE
%S_DeviceDesc1%=_Install1, USB\VID_05FD&PID_0316
%S_DeviceDesc1%=_Install1, USB\VID_045E&PID_0280

Copy and paste your controller and mem card IDs in like so
%S_DeviceDesc1%=_Install1, USB\VID_05FD&PID_9011&REV_0100
%S_DeviceDesc1%=_Install1, USB\VID_05FD&PID_9001&REV_0100

Both inf files must be edited with the device ID or it wont work.
