There seems to be tons of dead mods here, I was just thinking that maybe it'd be a good idea to select some new ones? I only see about 3 mods pop in every once in a while.

We dont need new mods. We have 4 regulars. Im here daily. Hobbs and Wes pop in from time to time. Also i dont think we have any frequent members that are at a high enough level modding wise that I would support them being upgraded to mod.
And honestly there isnt much to do here for staff anyways. I log in and approve downloads (usualy submitted by me), approve news and check reports on broken links etc 2 or 3 times a week, which actualy falls under admin duties. I cant even remember the last time I had to nuke a SPAM post, warn somebody, or drop the ban hammer
What we need is for people to start being more active. Submitting original content etc.
Heres a list of current staff who Ive seen in the past month
Darth33Bagger-Mod
LegendaryFire-Mod-Team-Hq forum Admin
TheRealHypnotix-Mod
PrehistoricMan-Mod
Wes213-Admin
Hobbs-Admin
Myself-Mod/Admin
Also we have some 360 mods who have power here and drop in from time to time like XSplinter and Im pretty sure we have some guys who were staff but just says VIP beside their name but still have mod access like HellBlazer who pop around now and then as well. Overall I think we are covered and dont see a need for more staff. Over at the 360 site I know Hobbs has been eyeing people up for vacant positions. If you are interested in a staff position Ken my advice would be to get active over at 360, start submitting news, achievements, videos etc and who knows maybe Hobbs will move you up.

I'm going to be submitting a massive project log some time in the next few months. I hope to make this mod very professional and (possibly) sell some duplicates for very interested members of the site (and this site only).
I hope the log will be interesting for you all. It's definitely been great in-the-making. _________________

I know the kind of mods he was talking about :D
But we need some of the other mods as well I think. It's nice to see some people still interested in this kind of stuff. _________________

Yeah between Xtras, UG and TIZ Ive been rebuilding our user base. As my apps get more mainstream we will se more people show up. Plus my affiliation with Xtras as the installer guy will bring us lots of people. It will grow, but it is artificial, as guys realise over at Xtras that Im around most days and all the same apps are available there the base will dwindle again.
Im pushing for having this site get sucked up by the 360 site but who knows. I know Hobbs respects my views especialy with XBOX1, but my future plan may not be finnancialy feasable we will all have to wait and see. Im just the day to day, tut download guy all site shit ultimately rests with Hobbs. While we all know he respects, and considers my opinions, if they are not inline with his vision, its easy to guess who the winning horse is gonna be

One I make this Xbox laptop (one I hear may be the second in the world, tell me if otherwise) I MIGHT sell them, if i can get more of the same parts. I know I can get acess to the 3D printer more than once to make the shell, but finding a suitable screen is too difficult (help me guys, please).
So far, it just looks like it will be an ultra slim and portable Xbox (which would be a shame, but still fun to do. And the audio looks like it might let you down too. The amplifier I got (the only on that was less than 2cm tall) is absolute crap. It goes REALLY loud but distorts at even the lowest level and I don't know how to make it better. I thought that maybe getting more accurate oscillators would help, but I may just be wasting time.
I think to get it finished I just need to buy all the stuff I can and then chuck it together and see what happens. It isn't as if I'm tight for money anyway, but my bedroom, being an Xbox modding area and general electronics dump, is a mess.
Oh and I need mroe time as well. Just started school again and got piled with homework, and on top of that I'm having piano + piano theory grade 5 exams soon. _________________

I'm still around daily, but I don't have a ton of time to dedicate to the Xbox anymore. When I joined this site in 2007 I was still in 8th grade, so I had a ton of free time. I used to check this site 5-6 times a day and try to find an answer to every thread that came up. I had the time to do that and I found it enjoyable, so I used to be really active.
Anymore, I just don't have the time. Between work and school, I have maybe 2 hours of free time a day. Because I am so busy, I haven't been able to keep up on all of the new ways to correct problems that SPPV has created. I also don't have the time to spend 20 minutes researching a topic so I can help someone out. I only know how to fix problems the 2007-2009 ways, because that was when I was activity learning about Xbox modding.
Compound all of that with the fact that I have mostly gamed on my PC since 2009, and you can see why I'm not as prevalent as I used to be. _________________
