Hi guys...
My wife purchased a used 360 a week or so back and one of the fans was bad. I opened it up and there were 4 blown caps, as well as the bad fan. I ordered the fan and caps off eBay, received them, installed them and all is good.
However I wish to flash the DVD drive but forgot to write down the details off the drive when I had the case open. Just in case there is only one model number from the manufacturer I will list what I know here and ask for your help in identifying it.
I do know that it had Phillips / LG on the drive and a link to a pic of the tray is below. And also my power plug to help identify the unit itself.
Any help so that I do not have to open the case until I have everything I need to do the flash would be greatly appreciated.
From outside the box, the only seemingly identifiable number is the serial number, which is: 907407682304
Thank you for your kind help,
John

This a site for the original Xbox, so in the future you'll want to post Xbox 360 questions on our sister site www.360-hq.com. Just use your same username and password you would use to login here
According to this, it looks like a BenQ drive. _________________

Here is an image, take a look, as it says, if you see white wires, it's a BENQ and you will not be able to mod it at this time, if you see Yellow wires, you may be in luck and may be able to mod it!!!
EDIT: Actually, check this video out, it may help you if you have a BENQ and want to flash the FW on the drive!
My drive does have the two yellow wires but I am still a bit perplexed as I am 100% certain that my drive DID have Phillips / LG on it.
Ole well... guess it is still a Lite-On drive, being that it does have the two yellow wires.
Thank you again guys,
John
