Could someone go into detail on what OEM HDD are?

OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer When a company says OEM HDD or DVD drive etc it basicaly means it was bought in bulk for the purpose of PC manufactur. Only diff between OEM and retail is retai comes in a box OEM has no box

yep its just cheaper cause they are meant for guys who dnt want boxes
DVD drive 20 bucks, box 10 bucks total price 30 bucks. I always buy OEM when I can who needs a box I know its a hard drive I dont need a box to tel me that

I freakin hate buying Hard drives online naymore none of them are showing any good deals on IDEs
