Just a quick video of my personalised AID. You may need to turn the volume up to hear it. A Tut on how to add your own music will be up once approved and one on doing the pics will be up in a day or 2

Thanks guys, considering it takes like 40 minutes to do the softmod, xbmc and emus I needed better tunes in there (no offense DJB, I just love metal). This videos got much better audio

Yup, its not like UBD4 DJB wrote it with modification in mind (at least judging by the setup and config), and adding music and pics is childs play. Virtualy no modifications are required, couple renames. If you take apart the base ISO, updated ISO, Addon packs and read the config its pretty easy to see how it all fits together. Im surprised DJB didnt add making soundtracks in the manual. Just make a folder called AID4.Music throw in some wma format tunes, rar it and rename it AID4.Addon.Sountrack.AID4 and you just add it in when using the ISO updater. Of course I figured that out after extracting the ISO manualy adding and rebuilding it

Sure I probably got room since I removed all the emus like adamx that I dont use

Good thing you did it, I think BIOS addons are a little beyond my skill level. I think I'll stick to simple stuff like disguising dual channel split audio/video files as wmv for skins

So SPPV,

How does Auto Installer rack up?? Do you rate it?
I know you use several installers and softmods!

I like it alot. Its an excellent program, and I like how DJB did it with the fact that we all have different end results in mind. Its very easy to edit, some types of files I find are easier to add after extraction rather than with the updater (skins are way easier extracted). Id like to see a Softmod version and a modchip version (Ive removed all the modchip stuff on mine).

One of the things I really liked about UBD4 was the fact it has good tunes running in the background (Epica, Opeth etc) but XBOX-Board.DE made it a pig to update, it took me close to a year to replace the XBMC in it and have it work properly (I kept getting freezeouts or it would say it copied it but copy nothing).

Other than the tunes the only other thing I really had an issue with was that you cant just put the ROM packs inside the Emus after extraction and get a proper install (works on UBD4). Im planning on adding Ndure support to mine, and Im hoping that the shadow C removal tool in it will work a little better than the one in SID/AID.

Overall when it comes to XBOXs with an upgraded HDD I give the prize to AID, stock drive or running Evox dash and I gotta give it to UBD4. Slayers and Heimdall dont even come close, Ive tried both and was not impressed.

The other thing AID has going for it is updates, the only other one to have received any official updating in the past few years is Heimdall, XBOX-Board.DE is gone, and I havent seen a Slayers release in years.

Way I look at it guys like DJB or Xuser do the hard work and take a Hill-Billy and teach him to act high society, I come along afterwards and throw a tuxedo on him so he looks high society Very Happy

Its totaly understandable that graphics and little surface bells and whistles are not a priority for them, but rather functionality. I cant help but try to take something thats kickass on the inside and make it look kickass on the outside. Cut scenes to a music video while copying ROMs on and things of that nature
