You should see if your friend could burn the full AID on to a DVD for you.

Is it possible to run it off a 2 or 4gb USB drive or SD? Or does it have to be disc or HDD based?

When you did AID did you test it with other softmod methods like Ndure? Im just curious cause Im working on the AID tut now and I was planning on trying it to see if it worked, but figured if you already did and it was a no go it would save me some time

It should work with any other softmod hopefully, just depends on where they look on the HDD for the dashboard (and ofcourse where the user installs it).

@ DJB

Do you know if dual-layer discs work ok for AID? Ive had some issue with dual layer games like MGS2 playing. Im just looking to fit all my roms onto it and Ive got around 6-7GB between the emus I use. I just filled one to 4.27gb with just NES, SNES, N64 and Genesis. Im just wondering since DL discs are pretty expensive so I dont really want to do a trial and error approach on it

As long as your use -R DL's you should be fine hopefully.

Wont work, no XBOX OS. Chances are with a blank HDD the second you boot youll get either an error 5 or 9. Best bet if its a chipped Box, build a drive using XBOXHDM and virgin 5960 dash files then let AID do the rest. Its quite easy to do. Download XBOXHDM, copy the MSdash files into the Linux-C folder, if its not chipped and you have the eeprom.bin file put it in the eeprom folder. Click on win-make-iso.bat it will make the linux folder into an ISO, burn it to DVD-r (Ive always had problems getting CDs to work for this and Ive been building drives close to a decade) with IMGBURN at 4x. Put it in a PC that supports IDE, unhook all hard drives, plug in the blank drive, be sure its set to master. Boot your PC (if its not set to boot from disc go into setup and change it). Pick build hd from scratch when the isolinux boots up and follow the onscreen instructions. If you have eeprom, once it says its done building the drive, turn off the PC, then turn it back on, pick option 3 and lock the drive
