Ive got a few games that are a little beat up, they will play but wont rip to the HDD. Ive tried on an XBOX with a TS DVD drive, running SID 5 Evox and using DVD2XBOX it got to only 323mb left then refused to copy, tried on one using Unleashx and a Philips drive and it did the same thing. Some play in the XBOX dash, but in DVD2XBOX it says drive empty. I remember friends using hair gel to get scratched cds to play is there a quick fix like that I could do, I just need something that will work long enough to rip it.
Is there still no software so you can use your PC to rip the game? I always used to use ImgBurn to rip PS1 and PS2 games and play them in a EMU when they got to scratched for the console.
Install CloneXB on your PC and copy the game from the xbox DVD-Rom.
Theres no software that will read a xbox game in a PC dvd drive, if you have an old Samsung sh-d162c you could flash it with Kreon firmware and then read the games in your PC. _________________

Im trying with Craxtion 4 Disc Ripper right now on my Philips drive. If it doesnt work Ive got a Thomson and a couple Samsung drives I can try it on. My thinking is the old drives just arent high enough quality to rip these discs due to the scratches, thats why I was hoping to use my PC drive since Ive ripped PS2 games on it that looked like they were attacked with a cheese grater.

Will the game rip with Image Burn to ure hard drive?
Then FTP the game to ure Xbox hard drive.If Image Burn returns a read fault the the game or disc is scratched,and wont copy.
DVD2XBOX can be Fussy when is reads some file extensions.
Its a common fault when DVD2XBOX,fails to read the last MBs of a disc. _________________ IXtreme v1.9.

I tried FTP ripping, still froze, Ive tried 4 different XBOXs so far 2 different versions of DVD2XBOX, Craxtion 4 and the game ripper included in Unleashx and they all freeze out as soon as it hits dashupdate and audioitswar files.
I tried with Imgburn and Alcohol 120 but it refuses to read the disc, and was unable to decompile using win32dasm.
It doesnt really make sense to me since my GTA vice city disc is beat to shit but I was able to rip it and my Conker disc isnt even close to being in as bad a shape but Im getting no where with it.

Ide say the disc is no good.
If Image Burn wont rip the game...and gives a read fault.(and the read fault is in the same place or part of the disc when it fails)
Then the game disc is unreadable,and thats why you cant back it up.
Search the net how to remove scratches from cds and dvds.

Imgburn doesnt give a read error they just wont rip that format properly, basicaly the same as when you throw a 360 game in a pc. Just gives you a VideoTS file and thats it

Just tried this home disc buffer called Dr.Disc (DO NOT BUY) and now it wont read period all my XBOXs just say the tray is empty
