Hey guys Im back to leach off some more advice from you guys .
Anyway Ive got a problem installing the PGR 2 update file that allows you to install the booster packs. I have an installer that will install the updat files for the game and it asks that you move the files from /e/TDATA/4d53004b/ to /e/TDATA/4d53004b/$u/. there was no $u folder so I created that and dumped all the files there but whenever I try to install the booster packs they are not shown in game. I have tryed every folder combination I can think of but just cant get it to work. I was wondering if anyone has any experence with instaling these updates and cold help me out. Thanks ahead guys your the greatist.

Hay guy just looking at your post and i dont know the first thing about PG seeing as how i dont play it but seems odd that it wold go in the TDATA you sure its not the Udata or like my halo add on packs thay went to myF: apps folder since my games are in F: apps like i said i dont know just shooting in the dark here
Just so it was said try clearing your cache. If i dont say it trust me someone will.
This installer will install the Paris and Long Beach Booster Packs for Project Gotham Racing 2
to your xbox console. After installed, you may use with PGR2 either on live or
single player. Enjoy!
The Auto Update MUST BE INSTALLED before you install any actual DLC.
Install Instructions:
1. Either get all the updates by logging into XBOX Live with PGR2 or run the installer
on your xbox and select the Update. After it says you have copied the update to the console
you will need to move it to it's proper DIR to make PGR2 see it.
The installer places the update within /e/TDATA/4d53004b/$C/4947002400UPDATE/*.*
Move all the files to the /e/TDATA/4d53004b/$u/ DIR for the update to function properly.
2. After you have insured you have the Auto Update installed. Choose to install Both Of The Booster Packs.
3. Reboot and Enjoy on Live.
I cant find the problem with it at all but hope someone who has done it before can help me out. "Ive got a lan party comeing up soon and wana get some practice in on long beach and paris".

there are no places to put them as you have to grab the model and ini files out of them and integrate them like the other cars are in the actual game...
heres some basic instructions..
for the cars.. you only need $u
go to your pgr2 dir on your xbox.. then go to Cache/Cars
then go to the CarDynamics dir in the root of the pgr2 dir.. and send over all the
dcontentcar ini files..
then go to data/audio and send over all the
.dat
.xwb
in the folder, theres 5 per car and a turbo2 at the bottom..
now we need to do some ini file editing..
open Cars.ini from $u.. and Select all text in it.. and copy it to your clipboard..
then open Cars.ini from the FrontEnd folder on PGR2 and paste all of that at the TOP of the file.. then save and reupload..
then oper CarColours.ini from the $u dir.. copy all text again.. open CarColours.ini from the FrontEnd dir and paste it all at the TOP/Bottom (dosent matter where.. Cars.ini was pickey about where they were tho) save and upload
then open Classes.ini from the FrontEnd folder and at the bottom of the file.. paste this
[CLASS]
Name = "Paris Cars"
ID = 1014
then save and reupload..
clear your xbox cache partitions (X Y Z) if youve played pgr2 lately.. and then fire it up and enjoy...
This is how to unlock the paris tracks:
Paris Frontend Maps.dat
Paris.pak_common
Paris.pak_day
Paris.pak_stream
Paris.pvs_Day
copy and paste data from new the new ini-files into the original Cities.Ini and Routes.Ini in /Frontend/ and stereo.ini in /data/audio/
Now u have unlocked the paris tracks.

Thanks for the guide I just tryed all that and the game is locking up on the loading screen just after the microsoft and bizare logo videos. Its not giveing DRE but just stops. Dont know why I followed the guide to the letter? Any ideas?

Try backing up your save files to your pc and then delete them from the xbox boot the game, this way of adding the boost pack might F up the saves if it boots without your save file you might need to re-singe your save files.
Like i said in my first post i dont know i dont play PGR.

Just tryed Deleteing the saves and clearing all the cache on e x y z. Still on luck. Im gona go over all the INI files try and see if there are any mistakes.
