I got this modded xbox from a friend, I know why he gave it to me,
so the problem is that its extremely slow, it loads up xbox screen really quick but when its on the dashboard its extremely slow and sluggish. Thats for both ms dashboard and the evolution x dashboard. Can anyone help?

Is there anything important on the drive? Sounds like it could one of two things. If it is the larger than 132gb drive, then the second partition might be too large and should be split in half or so. The other is that the drive is failing on read/write times and should clone it while you still have access before it totally craps out on you.

The harddrive is only 80gb, is their a way to test the drive to see if its failing, I dont really have anything important in it.
