Himy name is Tom and I'm new here. I love the forum and this is my first post. I have a quick question regarding the back ups I make of my games. They no longer make them or carry them so I have been getting my library up to date by back ups. My problem is... Some work and some don't? Games like Tomb Raider, Pitfall, Robocop, and Grand Theft Auto work fine. When I go to test my games like x-men ultimate alliance and Madden 09 or Dance Dance Revolution Ultimix 3 they don't read at all or up to a point and it goes to load and it stays blank and nothing happens. In my few experiences with this it seems that games with xbox live option on it may be the issue??? Or maybe I am doing something wrong?? I am burning at a slow speed of only 4x. I have done the back up of these games to test if it might be just a bad disc or an error of my own and it isn't?? I have read that you can do a bios flash up to an M8 evox flash. Is that only possible with a mod-chip or can you flash a bios with a soft-mod? I haven't found any tutorials anywhere. Any Ideas? Thanks for your time. Any advice will be appreciated! Thanks!
P.S. I am running a soft-modded xbox with evox and my dash is currently XBMC if that helps with suggestions...

If you are using XBMC then you might have to turn off flicker filter.

Clear the cache, but it sounds to me like you need to try a different brand of disc.
