Hello. So i am new here and i have been reading around and just can't find what i'm looking for. I am a daily 360 user so thats not the problem..lol... Anyhow i have a original xbox with Unleash X on it..it was a gift from my brother who got it from a friend. I know its modded(soft mod i believe) as i can pop in a game and copy it to the larger hard drive and play it..Here is what i am trying to do..I want to put it into my daughters room and use it to watch movies from my network(stored on pc) What program do i need and how do i get it and install it.. I have read about xbmc and i thought i got it but it just installed something on my pc.. I have access to my xbox through FTP and can see all the drive letters! I just need to know what program, where to get it and where to put it.. I know i am in the right place for this question as i have been reading through the forums here!
Any help will be super appreciated and my daughter will be alot happier as she can watch alot of movies i have stored on hard drive from pc
Thank you

Ok that is what i was thinking now i just need to know easiest was to get it on the xbox..lol..Thank you very much for fast reply. I will be donating here next week just because it amazes me that there is such an active forum for original xboxes still..Very impressed!
Ahhh.. I actually already started downloading this xbmc installer deluxe v 1.10 so i am learning..lol.. On my e: drive there is already stuff there do i put it in apps or something or just in root of E ? Thanks for the speedy response! Also is there an update to this unleash x or is the one i have just fine? Only info i could find was Dash: 0.38.0515a Build: 565 I am sure its all old as this thing was modded forever ago.. And of course another question.. Is it safe to say that the drive can read "back up's" of games or only originals? If only originals can i FTP games onto the hard drive?
Sorry for all the noobness.. I flashed my 360 lite on first try..lmao
Thanks again!

v1.10 of quto installer deluxe is old, version 4.40 is what you want.
now to answer some of your questions
put stuff like dashboards and emulators into your apps folder,so they will show up under apps in your unleashx dashboard.
the newest version of unleashx is UnleashX V0.39.0222A Build 572,you have an older version, anyway the new version should be on aid 4.40.
the xbox hdd can read backups of games, wouldnt be much point if it couldnt i suppose
you can ftp games onto your xbox hdd.
if you want a rip an original game then put an app called dvd2xbox v07.8 onto your xbox hdd and then put an original game in and then it will rip the game to your xbox hdd.
then you can ftp the game to your computer and burn it to dvdr as a backup.

So basicaly this Auto-Installer.Deluxe.v4.50.FINAL will have everything i need. I will give it a go and see what happens. Thank you for all your help and speedy replies. These forums are good!
Yeah, Auto Installer Deluxe is the more comprehensive of the two - I think xcalibur may have misread your question, XBMCID v1.10 is the latest version of the xbox media center installer discs. (A.I.D is similar but slightly different) _________________

just use your Windows 7 username and password when trying to connect from your xbox to the PC.. That is all that is probably wrong. I have a similar issue with my NAS Server since it requires authenitcation.
You could try allowing all users access to the SHARED folder and it may help.. Hang in there, sounds like you are setup and nearly very very happy.. heheh
