Is there an alternate way of setting up the XBOX wireless besides using a Wi-Fi game adapter? Just curious what other options I may have. Seems like slim to none since USB adapters and such require driver install. Guess I could use Linux XDSL to install drivers if need be. _________________

You could get a cheap router that can be flashed with the dd-wrt firmware and turn it into a wireless bridge. Works just like the game adapter but can use it for other things as well.

How would I flash it? I've only flashed phones not routers. _________________

It depends on the os you have on your computer and what router you get. Get a linksys wrt54g off ebay or somewhere for like 20 or 30 bucks then go get the appropriate dd-wrt firmware, it comes with pretty good instructions. You can even mod your case to fit it in there if you wanted to.

Yeah, I can't help you with the actual flashing then as I don't use windows, but it should be pretty easy I just tftp'd into the router and uploaded a patch then rebooted the routher and there it was. There should be somthing on dd-wrt's site. Let us know how it goes
